Since 1998, we've worked at building a best place to work culture and believe it's paid dividends. For example, we recently added to our over 60 best place to work and client service awards with a cover story and #2 Top Workplace award from the Chicago Tribune. Through this model, we've also experienced an average organic growth rate of 14% over the last ten years.
Below are some tips, as well as a webinar recording detailing how to build a culture that drives profitability through factors such as retention, employee engagement and wellness (and gets you a little PR along the way).

- Create a plan for personally connecting with employees. The number one rated driver for engagement is the extent to which employees believe their senior management has a sincere interest in their well-being. One way to accomplish this is by helping employees set goals and rewarding individual achievement with things they care about.
- Establish a shared vision. Showcase the meaning of work and how each employees outcome contributes to the greater cause of the company.
- Realize there is no copy and paste when it comes to your culture. Everything must be customized to your employee base and what engages employees with your company strategy. The best way to accomplish this is through internal focus groups and surveys with all levels of the organization.
