SCHAUMBURG, ILL. (Aug. 24, 2016) — Assurance recently announced that executive vice president and general manager of the Chicago Cubs, Jed Hoyer, will provide the closing keynote at the first-ever Assurance University Symposium on Sept. 8, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill. He will be joining opening keynote Oliver Pursche, who oversees the operations of both Bruderman Brothers, LLC and Bruderman Asset Management, LLC, as well as other various industry experts. The one-day conference is an opportunity for CEOs, CFO’s, human resource professionals and other business leaders to get a customized outlook on issues affecting their insurance costs and how they can minimize risk in their organizations.
The Schaumburg-based independent insurance agency has been a proud partner of the Chicago Cubs. Hoyer will present Organizational Transformation: A Prelude to Success, giving attendees an inside look at the remarkable transformation of the Chicago Cubs and how those strategies can be replicated.
“The transformation of the Cubs organization from top to bottom is nothing short of impressive, and something all business leaders can learn from,” said Steven Handmaker, CMO of Assurance. “It begins with setting clearly defined goals and then having the fortitude to see those goals through. We hope to inspire attendees at the Symposium and show that that no matter what their cultural goals are, nothing is beyond their reach.”
The Assurance University Symposium will also feature Oliver Pursche who will be providing the opening keynote. Pursche has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and makes frequent guest appearances on several national business media outlets. Pursche will cover the 2016 election, discussing various outcomes and how business leaders will be impacted.
Other topics covered at the symposium will include new tools to minimize risk, ways to improve company culture, workers’ comp and wellness, cyber security and safety. Additionally, attendees will also have the opportunity for networking and access to attorneys.
“At Assurance, we’re always looking for new ways to provide insights that matter most to business leaders and HR professionals. We love putting out tips and education pieces via our blog, Assurance University webinars, white papers and more,” said Handmaker. “The Assurance University Symposium is an expansion of that content and an opportunity for face-to-face interaction with peers.”
