Schaumburg, Ill. (June 16, 2015) —Assurance is excited to announce Beth Falls, Employee Benefits Advisor at Assurance, will be partnering Women in Manufacturing (WiM) to launch their Chicago chapter.

To celebrate the new chapter, WiM is hosting an event on Thursday, July 9, 2015, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Tango Room of Carnivale Restaurant in downtown Chicago. This introductory launch is an opportunity to network with other WiM members and women in the manufacturing industry.

“I’m excited to help launch the Chicago Chapter for Women in Manufacturing and provide women in the industry a place to network, share experiences and build long-lasting relationships,” said Falls. This event is being co-sponsored by Assurance and MetLife.

WiM Illinois also has the backing of Assurance President of Employee Benefits Liz Smith. “Partnering with Women in Manufacturing is an incredible opportunity for Assurance and our manufacturing team. This collaboration will not only bring attention to the local manufacturing community, but also ensure long-term benefits for members,” said Smith.

WiM chapters are designed to bring together women in their states, allowing them to develop new contacts, participate in local networking events and become an advocate for women in the manufacturing industry—all while simultaneously learning about business development and job opportunities in their communities.

Community chapters typically meet bimonthly and meetings range in subject matter based on the interests of members. Each community is pioneered and run by a WiM member. Contact Kristin Moore at 216-503-5700 or kmoore@womeninmfg.org if interested in starting your own WiM community.
